Welcome to the weekly Perfume Chat Room, perfumistas! I envision this chat room as a weekly drop-in spot online, where readers may ask questions, suggest fragrances, tell others their SOTD, comment on new releases or old favorites, and respond to each other. The perennial theme is fragrance, but we can interpret that broadly. This is meant to be a kind space, so please try not to give or take offense, and let’s all agree to disagree when opinions differ. In fragrance as in life, your mileage may vary! YMMV.
Today is Friday, March 25, and it is Spring with a capital S! Below is one of my most happy places, which my husband I visited last weekend:
Full disclosure: I didn’t take this photo last weekend, I think it is from last year and I didn’t take it. But this is what it looked like! Hillsides of daffodils in bloom — 20+ million of them. Yes, I did wear Ostara, again.
Today I’m wearing 4160 Tuesdays’ Scenthusiasm, another favorite fragrance with an oddball name. Do you have any favorite fragrances with names that may be a bit weird? Do you have any special spring happy places? Or, what fragrance(s) are you wearing for this transitional season?
My spring fragrance with a weird name is Masque Milano Ray-Flection! The daffodil gardens look gorgeous.

As long as the sun is shining and I’m outside in it that’s my happy place. And if I happen to be walking along my local canal then I’m extra happy. I love Sarah’s perfume names, quirky, and some are oh-so-English (but I totally get them). Fabulous daff field photo. They’re out in full bloom everywhere here.

They and lilies of the valley are my favorite flowers, followed closely by roses

It’s still chilly here – high of 45 and almost-rainy, which gives it that extra damp chill thing. I’m wearing L’Air du Desert Marocain- I have one of the teeny mini splash bottles. Tomorrow will be another lucky perfume (Stash) day as I’m heading back to Hershey for the girls basketball state championship as their photographer. I’m not sure if our school has ever contended for more than one state championship in a year, exciting for the kids.

That’s so exciting! Fingers crossed for the girls!

I’m wearing diptyque’s limited Venise perfume from 2021 and I love it. I should have bought more! It’s so lovely and very green! I love daffodils and that photo is divine. I enjoy all the azaleas and camellias blooming here.

Our azaleas have really popped out recently. Some got nipped by our last frost, but not badly. My hellebores are still going strong!

There is a park close-by where we try to go every year in April to see wildflowers (I did a post about it several years ago with a lot of pictures – https://undina.com/2018/04/05/small-things-that-brighten-life-wildflowers/ ). We need to find time this year and go there again soon!
I will be wearing Ostara soon as well. It’s such a nice perfume, I still can’t believe they chose to discontinue it.

I can’t either! And it was available for such a brief time. I hope you do get to go visit the park with wildflowers in April, you and your VSO have had such a stressful time (and the stress isn’t over, I gather) with getting the elderly moms out of Ukraine.
